Why I drink a protein shake on a rest day

I’m taking a much needed rest day today. ๐Ÿ™€But I’m still drinking my “protein shake.” My muscles are still recovering from three work outs yesterday, so they need it! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป But, I’m drinking it primarily because it is also my daily vitamin.

Thanks to diet and exercise, I’m off of medication. Which is great because I really hate taking pills ๐Ÿ’Š.

But you just can’t get enough of the good stuff with our produce ๐ŸŠthese days. Vitamins & minerals come in produce. Produce gets nutrients from the soil ๐ŸŒพ. Our soil is depleted ๐ŸŒตand unfortunately so are or fruits and Veges. Boo.

This was a long time coming for me, I was pretty stubborn about not taking supplements ๐Ÿ˜ก.

But here I am! And I was wrong, I admit it. Everyone has their preferences, my friends all use different products with great results ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿป. This is what works for me. And I’m slightly addicted to my chocolate frosty ๐Ÿซโ›„๏ธโ„๏ธ(chocolate Shakeology, banana, peanut butter, vanilla extract, ice & water).

I’m also addicted to the nutrients I’m getting. I don’t tend to take care of myself in this way very well, so knowing I’ve got this box checked โ˜‘๏ธ is nice.

Look at all of this, and that’s without my additions:

  • Vitamin A 100%
  • Vitamin C 300%
  • Vitamin D 50%
  • Vitamin E 50%
  • Vitamin K1 50%
  • Vitamin B1 100%
  • Vitamin B2 76%
  • Vitamin B3 25%
  • Vitamin B6 100%
  • Folic Acid 50%
  • Vitamin B12 100%
  • Biotin 30%
  • Panthoenic Acid 50%
  • Calcium 30%
  • Iron 33%
  • Phosphorus 23%
  • Iodine 35%
  • Magnesium 20%
  • Zinc 40%
  • Copper 40%
  • Manganese 100%
  • Chromium 50%
  • Molybdenum 40%

Beachbody tells us this is superfoods amazing sense nutrition. Those are fancy words for saying they’ve found food that stil have vitamins and minerals IN it the way that they used to be. The way that our bodies need.

And now I’m le tired, so I shall have a nap. ๐Ÿ˜ด
