Shakeology ingredients

I love me some Dr. Axe. If you read up on his backstory, how can you not? Anyway, I am a person who researches. I did LOTS of research on Shakeo before deciding to invest in it for more than a year!! It’s good stuff. We can’t get what we need without supplementation these days. That’s just a fact.

But, while researching Camu Camu-Shakeology ingredient-WHAT IS THAT?😂-came across this info from good ol’ Dr. Axe. These days people are trying to figure out supplementation. There are so many good things out there! What’s cool about Shakeology is it puts them all together-and responsibility so…from supporting small local farmers all over the globe to dehydrating ingredients in the shade to keep the optimal level of nutrition. On to Camu Camu!

Camu camu is a shrub found in the swamp or flooded areas of the Amazon rainforest and could be the next superfood to hit the North American markets soon. The shrub bears large berries that can look like cherries. These berries turn out to be one of the top vitamin C foods, for they have more of this vitamin in them than any other food source on the planet, sometimes as much as 60 times more vitamin C than an orange!

Camu Camu also comes equipped with a powerful concoction of amino acids like serine, leucine and valine, as well as phytochemicals and minerals that can help a range of maladies in the body. Camu camu has been used for everything from inflammation, gum health and herpes to eye health, mood and more. Animal studies have shown that camu camu has antioxidant and antigenotoxic affects.

Acerola (also in Shakeo) and acai (also in Shakeo) are two superfoods known for their extremely high vitamin C content, but camu camu contains even more vitamin C. Camu camu is fairly new to to the global market, but it’s popularity worldwide is growing.

There’s a lot more to the Camu Camu story but that’s a good start!! #shakeology #superfood #getinmybelly
