This workout was the most similar beachbody workout to what I create for my clients that I’ve done!!
I loved the PIYO-esque warmup! I also loved that you could use a chair (I used my foot bench or whatever they are called) if you don’t have one for these moves. Great moves, my butt and hamstrings felt goooood!! Shoulders worked too. I am sure our backs will be feeling it too in a few days!
Side note-who decides the water bottle situation. Two of them have $20 Shakeology water bottles and two of them have $5 Walmart water bottles! π
Grade: 5! Loved it!
My review! Day 2: Hammer Plyometrics
I chose plyo because I know I hate It therefore I should do it. Might’ve gotten MORE out of masters cardio because I don’t have a pull-up bar or bench so a lot of moves had to be modified. Keep that in mind when you choose which one you want to do because day 2 is optional!
I was REALLY ANNOYED that he didn’t seem to know Chelseas name but he picked it up at the end there. And at the beginning I thought he was trying to scare me. π
It was a touch workout but even though his intensity made me chuckle, it worked because I kicked booty!
My favorite move? Rev lunge to knee driver
Hardest move? Plyo push-ups!!!!
Grade: 4 Short but tough. (Would’ve been a 3 if he hadn’t said her name!)
Alrighty roo!! Day 3: Hammer & Chisel–ISO Strength Chisel! That was fun!! Felt some of those muscle fibers tearing! π Favorite move was side step up. Hardest wasthe Bulgarian split squat. Rude. And the easiest one was the c spine crunch. I HAVE a six pack. Strong abs. They are just currently hiding. ππ
Autumn is very motivating. From the very first time I worked out with her I thought, “She’s a talking Pinterest fitspo board. π
Grade: 5 Felt the burn.
Hammer and Chisel, Day 4 (kinda). I’m taking my rest day Sunday so I’m a rebel. ISO Soeed Hammer. This workout is less that 20 minutes of actual WORK. I’m convinced they are easing us in with this stabilization phase. I hope.
I don’t have a chin up bar but otherwise that workout was too easy. Yeah. I said it! Especially if we were supposed to have a rest day yesterday!!!
Grade: C
Day 5: Hammer& Chisel Endurance done!!
I liked it, similar to what I do on my own with balance and flexibility added into strength. Little too much spalining time though. I also like how there are options for those without a bench or pull up bar! Decline balance-y push-ups are hard. π
Grade: B!
Day 7: Hammer & Chisel Total body hammer!!
Felt a nice overall burn and a gots good sparkle going. Too much taking, could’ve gone a little faster.
Day 8: Chisel Cardio
This was a great cardio workout. Other than running I don’t like cardio π There’s a meme out there that says-you mean lift weights faster? That’s what this was for the most part and I liked it. I also like function movements like step ups because they challenge balance in a realistic movement pattern. Woowoo.
Burpees are always stupid but autumn has a way of making them tolerable.
I felt like she was talking to ME when she said you don’t want to walk away not having Given it all you had. So I tried a little harder. π
Favorite move was the side step/kick. Didn’t love the plank kicks but I did them. π And Alvin just doesn’t know how to row the boat!!π
I still think it’s kind of easy. But that’s not terrible, you don’t have to feel like you’re gonna die to get a good workout right! π
Btw read in fixate that Autumn moved to Cali to be an actress. Welllllll. I think that turns out best case scenario huh?
Grade: A
Day 12? Is that right? Lol. Anyway… Hammer Power!
For me it was okay. Not the biggest fan of Olympic power lifting but it has its place in weight training!! I liked it at the beginning but then it was kind of repetitive at the end. I do appreciate doing something new though, and Sagi wasn’t too bad!!
π― Loved the illustration of him get getting kicked in the butt because that is EXACTLY what it looked like.
π― Liked the use of light weights to warm up the muscles.
π― Love how power lifting only involves like 10 reps max. Ever. ππ
π― Favorite move is deadlift.
π Still waiting on biceps.
Grade: C. Not because of the workout, I think it was a good one for other people. I’m just not a fan of cleans and jerks and snatches. π
Happy flex Friday!!
