I love Mondays.
A new day. A new week. A new chance to get it right.
This morning I definitely needed a reset. I was doing a live workout in my group and I told my ladies this:
I don’t care what you’ve done all year. I don’t care what you did last week. I don’t care what you did this weekend. TODAY is a brand new chance.
A brand new chance to get it right. If you start today it’ll give you momentum to go at it again tomorrow. Add in three more days and you’ve successfully worked toward your goals FOR AN ENTIRE week. It really is that simple guys.
Right now. Today. You can be the kind of person that accomplishes their goals. Right now. You’re in charge of you. You don’t have to be the kind of person that you don’t want to be. You get to decide who you are, what you do, how you do it and why you do it. No one else.
So, what are your goals? Break it down. What one, two or three things do you need to do each day to accomplish those goals? Just start. Start right now.
Who do you want to be? What do you want to achieve?
Want to feel good in your own body? Eat well today, workout today, drink water today. BOOM. You’re officially a healthy person. Nailed it.
Want to be the kind of person who’s on time? Do everything 30 minutes ahead of schedule today. Get up earlier. Get dressed earlier. Don’t start social media or tv. Leave earlier. Get there earlier. Boom, you’re officially the kind of person who gets places on time.
Want to be the kind of person who has a good marriage? Send your partner a message right now out of the blue. Say something sincere and that reflects gratitude. Then do something unexpectedly nice for your spouse. Boom, you are officially the kind of person who has a good marriage.
None of these are permanently true, but they are true in the moment. They are true today, if you do these things. The will remain so long as you decide. The point is, you don’t have to wait to be the person you want to be. You can be that person NOW.
It’s a new week. You have a new chance. Take it.
