How did you get started on the 21 Day Fix?
In early 2015 I was 186 pounds. I had a two month old (along with the 5 & 8 year olds). I was working out and doing this and that but I needed something a little more, something that would kind of give me a leg up, a boost to get results and get back into healthy habits.
That’s around the same time I saw the pretty color containers from the 21 Day Fix. I think that was what planted the seed and eventually sold me. I like pretty colors and things that look organizational. Can’t really explain it, I just have to own it.
I was fed up with being overweight. I’d lost the weight before but gained it back (duh) with the pregnancy followed by the holidays followed by…blahblahblah.
Anyway, the cost was a bit of a shocker for me ($160). Looking back, I kind of chuckle because it was 1) The best investment into myself I’ve ever made and 2) Much less than I spent eating out/buying beer each month (oh boy that’s a whole ‘nother story, just keeping it real). So I made the plunge ON a payday before I could change my mind.
Long story long, I got the stuff. I made my Mom do it with me. I planned and prepped and worked out and all the awesome possum type stuff.
In 21 days, I lost 13 pounds and 7 inches all over! Mom lost 8 pounds and 7 inches all over. We were in shape, feeling better, getting strong and all the things!!
After I finished my first round of the 21 Day Fix I immediately told anyone who would listen how awesome it was. I made meal plans and tried to help my friends do it and was just generally so excited about it.
It never dawned on me to become a coach!
After enough people told me how encouraging I was to them-just in Facebook-the idea started to plant in my mind. I’m not very good at selling stuff. Just thinking about it makes my palms sweaty.
But I am very good at being me-which is way over excited and enthusiastic. And I totally believe in the 21 Day Fix. 100%.
